GOAL is led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Sam Lim, Professor of Medicine and Chief of Rheumatology at Grady Memorial Hospital. He is also a Professor of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory. Dr. Lim’s main area of interest is lupus, with an emphasis on quality of life, medical access issues, and other outcomes of research for patients with lupus. He has been involved in over 30 lupus clinical trials and is a Steering Committee member of the Lupus Clinical Investigators Network (LuCIN). Dr. Lim also serves on the Medical-Scientific Advisory Board of the Lupus Foundation of America and is the past President of the Georgia Society of Rheumatology.
